I met a friend's friend at the first friend's gig. I was already quite drunk when we met, and I'm definitely a lot less in my head (obviously). We didn't talk for too long but I got the impression she liked me. I ended up having to leave early for a couple reasons and never got her number, but the next time I hung out with our mutual friend she told me that the girl asked her if I was single after I left (and if the two of us were hooking up). We randomly ran into each other and hung out for a bit, talked, got along well, I got her number, we went our separate ways. I recently drank with our mutual friend again and she told me that the last time she hung out with the girl she said we should go out, and the girl said she thought I was really nice but wasn't sure if she wanted to go out with me.

This isn't the first time something like this has happened. There's been a bunch of times I can think of off the top of my head where a girl who seems interested in me loses interest in the possibility of hooking up/going out, but will still want to be friends and hang out. While I'm not opposed to more friends, it sucks a bit if it happens with a girl I'm genuinely interested in sexually or romantically, and it feels like I'm doing something wrong. I just have no idea what. Like I'm somehow coming across too friendly? Or too nice? Or somehow giving off the impression I'm the one only interested in being a friend and they lose sexual interest in me? I have no fucking idea.
