I see this happening to me very often. My close friends and I are discussing something, everyone is sharing their insight about the topic; I usually wait for others to finish, so then I start to say my words. However, it happens a lot that either A) people aren't paying enough attention i.e. they're talking to each other, and I'm generally talking to myself, or someone who makes eye contact with me. or B) I get cut off by someone else, then everyone starts talking what the other person said, and my words are ignored completely.
I made a habit of not repeating my words. If I get cut while mid-sentence, I'll either raise my voice and finish what I started, or stop totally and never bring that up again.
Can you help me more tricks on how to do this better.
When someone talks while I'm talking, do I stop or continue despite them cutting me.
When nobody is paying attention and I am already talking, what to do? When I start talking to the whole group and only one person is paying attention to me, do I act as if I'm talking only to that person, or continue and raise my voice to be heard by the whole group
