OP's over-thinking. If you feel like going to the mall, go to the mall. Then go to stores you want, do shit you want, and hit on girls you like. If they can't tag along in at least a 50/50 give-and-take, break off & do your own thing.

On the other hand, if you don't feel like going to the mall, don't go. Pretty simple

Usually the case is, if a girl is asking me out to go shopping, she's either paying lunch or buying me clothes (I never have to ask, they offer) which I'm cool with. There's never been a girl I've gone shopping with that I didn't have obvious mutual sexual tension with.

Thing is so long as it isn't long, I really don't mind. But I wouldn't go if I didn't enjoy it. I go because I want to go not just for the sake of being with her because it might lead to something.

EDIT: I've had girls buy me lunch multiple times, lots of shirts, a pair of jeans, a jacket, 3 cool sweaters, etc... I think girls know deep down it's not a guy thing to do so they're willing to bribe you a bit if they really like you

Man I hate to admit it but, I fucking love clothes shopping with chicks. You get to fucking sit there and just JUDGE them and be very vocal about it and the whole time while they try to make themselves look pretty for you and shit, it is so fucking glorious.

Just make sure you are taking the lead, and if you get bored just fuck off and do your own thing if they won't come with you.

Plus if they think shopping is like an 'activity' they will probably buy you shit. I had a couple of rich daddy's girls buy me a lot of shit. One of them even got off on shoplifting so she would just steal something on top of whatever she would buy and then she would be horny as shit when we would leave, it was dope.
