Been reading posts for a week or so now, and I’m detecting a general theme. Deception.

There seems to be a significant amount of ‘fake-it-til-you-make-it going on in posts. Overtly, and in the sub-text of what’s being conveyed.

I’m no player. I probably have no game. But I think that’s how I want it. I’m just being my own dorky self most of the time. Sure, it’s not likely that if I were out ‘hunting’ for a date, I’d easily end up with one. But by the time I did find a good match, it would be authentic.

I think authenticity is missing in a lot of the ideas/approaches I see posted.

If I have anything to contribute to the conversation, it would be to learn to feel. Learn to regulate your own emotions, and the rest takes care of itself. I know... easier said than done.

All that being said... ultimately, it’s just one random guy’s take. How I’ve learned to adapt to paralyzing shyness, especially with the opposite sex. Not saying it’s good, not saying it’s bad, it just is. And that’s kinda the point.

Just be.

Once you ‘land’ the perfect partner, there’s no game you have to walk back because you pretended to be something you’re not.
