I’m relatively new to the game scene and I’ve noticed something and can’t help but ask if anybody has had a similar experience. I get way more attention in public/ face to face than I do online.

Maybe my dating apps are unflattering and make me look short (I’m 5’10” & probably a 7 or 8 depending on the girl but I swear, everyone I take pictures with is taller than me). Maybe my personality & charisma isn’t well represented on my profiles but is well translated in person.

I’m basing this statement on only around a few months of truly putting myself out there. For example, this last weekend I went home with a girl I met that night (for the first time ever I might add) and, after swiping on tinder for a few days, I didn’t match with anybody I found remotely close to as attractive as the girl I went home with this weekend. I was honestly discouraged.

Is online dating really that shallow? Was it the alcohol this weekend or am I just more attractive when I’m dancing & having fun? I’m just starting to find confidence in myself again & I can’t figure out why there’s such a drastic discrepancy between the attention I get online (almost nonexistent) vs. in public (very uplifting).

TLDR: I get way more, positive attention in public vs. dating apps and I just don’t know why...
