Hmm sends the twerking video but then only says maybe to a date? Sounds like she’s just as much of a n00b at dating as you. I read that as she doesn’t know how to flirt but knows that guys generally respond to sexual provocation. I think if you’re persistent but not creepy you’ll get that date for sure!

36F here. What I’m thinking is she’s interested and physically attracted to you but isn’t sold that you guys are going to have chemistry in person because you haven’t really talked and as you say your texts aren’t really flowing. A coffee date is frankly a lot of pressure. There isn’t an activity or even alcohol to put people at ease. I’d go one of two ways, either more of a well planned out date. Find an activity that would be appealing to both of you where if you’re feeling shy you can focus on a interesting activity but hopefully you hit it off so you don’t want anywhere so loud you can’t have a great conversation. This time of year there are tons fall/Halloween events. That kind of thing is ideal because this could potentially be a great shared memory if this develops into a relationship. The other option is to take some of the pressure out of the coffee date. Tell her you’re camping out at the Starbucks because you have a big paper to write, then invite her to drop by and provide some distraction or be your study buddy. The main risk of an impromptu request to hang out is that she is going to legit not be able to come by due to her schedule. Also any girl who is at all interested you is not going to want to hang out if she doesn’t feel her hair, makeup, clothes are cute that day. So even though this is a spontaneous study date you want give her a good amount of notice that you’re going there or that you’ll be there a long time. If it turns out she can’t stop by please make sure your response is in no way negative or passive aggressive.
