Hi all, first time posting.

I've brought up this topic on r/dating before and not really gotten much help, it seems this subreddit is more in tune with the burgeoning phases of sex and relationships.

I'm sure many men suffer from some of the same difficulties I have, wherein we understand the game, or are learning it, but sometimes have our moments where we toss all progress out the window. Whether it be rejection sending us into some kind of wave of desperation and "you up?" texts, to simply feeling lonely, and trying a little too hard.

What ways have you personally mitigated the temptations of trying hard, and not playing it cool? I've always said that even an average guy can play the game, but mentally you gotta be strong to fight the natural urges that push women away.

Thanks in advance for your input!
