What made you think she was into you ?
You're probably getting clues wrong and showing off as needy / insecure.

She kept looking back and smiling at me waiting for me to make a move, so I did. Haven’t seen her since and she has pretty much ignored me on Instagram.

She was probably not into you at all.

If I’m reading this right I have a friend who has a similar problem. He seems to get confidence to make a move every once in a while but seems to usually get rejected and things don’t work out for him even though he’s an average looking and nice guy. One problem he has is that he, in his head, exaggerates the role the social media plays in terms of relationships with girls. He thinks that so and so snapchats or conversations or instagram follows could mean something in terms of that girl liking him, but it really doesn’t. Now don’t get me wrong because you can use social media to flirt with girls and it’s actually really effective. However, don’t read too much into the meaning of anything on social media and when you want to make actual moves (such as asking a girl on a date) is recommend doing it in person. Try to become more comfortable with girls in person but at the same time don’t come off as needy as this is a turn off for girls
There’s a fine line between being confident and being needy in terms of dating. I think that the main difference is real confidence stems from being confident in the person you are and liking yourself as a person and trusting that you can make the right decisions. Faking confidence and just being confident in saying certain things comes off as needy as it seems like you are just trying to get her attention. First, work on yourself and do what you need to do to become confident in who you are as a person. Watch videos on how to be your best self, figure out how you like to style your hair and clothes, and go out and be social with people.
Hope that helps

I get so nervous around girls that I really do feel like I fake confidence, I try to work on that but yes improving myself seems like the best choice.

Yeah. Used to have the same problem where i felt like I had confidence around girls but doing something bold isn’t the same as being confident. Try to hang out with girls more in general or be more social. This could help your social confidence so that way you don’t have to fake it
any tips on hangin around more girls?
I constantly tell myself girls aren’t these godly beings but Every time I talk to the random girl I like i become this ironic mess of nervousness

Yeah I know what you mean. Honestly when I get nervous or something like that around a girl it’s because I think they’re more valuable than me or better than me in some way. Like if you thought of yourselves as equals and are confident in who you are as a person then you probably won’t be nervous as you won’t think there is a reason to be. Nervousness just stems from your brain thinking you’re in a situation that might be difficult to handle. This means that working on who you are (once again) as a person and becoming more secure with yourself will help with this. It will also get better as time goes on so don’t worry.
To put yourself around more girls just don’t make any effort to avoid them. Let’s say your friends are hanging out with some chicks; you might think to yourself, “oh I don’t want to go it would just be awkward”. Instead of this actually make an attempt to go meet more girls, despite if u think it would be weird or awkward.

You can be boring and unfun. Or just uninteresting in general. Lack of hobbies or solid direction in life can turn them off. But the good part that you can change it. Don't concentrate on things you can't change. It gives you a victim mentality. Develop yourself.
