Anyone tend to employ these kind of openers? If so, which ones do you have most success with? Share them here

I was reading a thread on a pickup forum where the poster was from somewhere like the UK and said that generally, the simple 'hey, I'm Andy' type openers that are often advised and that work OK with US girls (who are social) tend to bomb over there.

They ignore you. Even when you then follow up with a cold read or make a comment on something about them, 95% of them still tend to look at you like you're nuts and then turn away without ever really engaging lol (US girls tend to at least speak back and ask you some stuff about yourself which makes hooking easier)

The thread suggested that you're better off using a self amuser opener which in turn might get her laughing off of the opener and will thus help hook her in too an actual two-sided convo (as even a non-funny observational opener or an opinion opener will also tend to bomb unless she's attracted to you)
