Lol no this is wrong. The exception is not the rule. People in the service industry are literally paid to be nice to you. Free drinks doesn't mean shit, I get them all the time because I'm friendly and they happened to make extra. Doesn't mean anything.

Don't hassle people who are trapped in a location and paid to be nice to you because you're too chicken to strike up conversations with people off the clock.

Noobs that can’t tell the difference between friendly banter and sexual interest should practice on other girls in other situations at first. Once you know the difference, don’t be afraid to flirt and take contact info of a server or bartender in a socially calibrated way.

I once told a server I was a pilot in casual conversation. At the end of our group’s meal, she made my receipt into a paper airplane and wrote her number on the inside. We went on several dates. Another time, a cute server told our group she was going to Japan in a week. My friend had travelled in Japan for half a year so they exchanged numbers to talk about it. They ended up seeing each other before she left.

These examples are layups. You’d be dumb not to take advantage of them. That being said, if you’re overtly flirting with a server when she is not reciprocating in the slightest, that’s kind of inappropriate, probably making her uncomfortable, and probably making you look creepy af.

The average chick working those jobs gets hit on by literally every dude they have to talk to. They get tired of it. They flirt for entertainment. Because they're bored. Because it's a job requirement. Because it brings tips. I too get tons of free food from these people without asking, but there's still a difference.

If you're not socially attuned to whether a girl is on autopilot mode like most are, you could really fuck up a good situation. Most guys aren't attuned to read the subtle nuances. Good job anyway bro . .
