I think it should be fine.

As long as you guys don't start preaching on each other and trying to convert each other and as long as you perform your religious/non-reliious rituals separately and the other person respects that...then it should be fine.

It's like a woman loving fashion. She can watch her fashion shows and hang her fashion posters and she doesn't try to involve you in it, nor do you disrespect her preference.

As long as the person respects my right to believe what I want to and doesn't impose their beliefs on me, I don't see any problem.

Marriage is a bad deal for a man. Even worse when he comes from a traditional guilt based religion and she does not. He won't be able to hold Jesus over her, but she can use his religion to keep him in line.

I'd advise dude to not marry at all. Failing that, marry someone from within his faith and who is an active churchgoer, whose parents and family are active churchgoers.
