I am doing cold approaches for the past 3 days(11 approaches,4 conversations completed, 7 times the girl was too busy to give a chat) . One common thing that I have noticed is that whenever I start up a conversation with a girl I feel like she is not interested in contributing to the conversation(It feels as if she has subconsciously placed me in the friendzone or thinks I am too ugly to be interesting). I usually start off by saying "Excuse me(then if she stops or slows down) hi I am new in the area, do you know any good place to have some food that isn't oily or fried enough to eat 2 times a day? " Either she says "I don't know" and walks away or tells some place then I ask about basic items she prefer and the average price of the dishes... And afterwards I tell her that I am looking to make some friends and would love to be exploring the city with some new people. She usually says that she is a busy person or she doesn't hang out with people outside her social circle and the walks away. Is there any suggestions such as an improved opener or how to guide the conversation after the opener. Or make her seem interested in the conversation? My average conversations are of 2-5 minutes till now. P.S I am 18 and a college student.
