When I was younger, I was super clueless but came off as extremely confident and self-assured. This wasn't on purpose, but as a result of my complete naivety and delusion of how I perceived reality. I based my self-esteem not on looks because I thought I was a sexy motherfucker. It was kind of narcissistic, but once I hit the gym a bit, I thought I was already god's gift to women. I didn't know shit about fashion, balanced aesthetics, what a good face is supposed to look like etc. I'm average looking myself, but hitting the gym made me believe I was achieving at least close to the peak of looks, outside of famous e-boys or celebrities. If I saw an attractive guy or an average looking dude, I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference outside of extreme difference, so this allowed me to be friends with tons of attractive dudes and see their world, since it didn't affect me.
Anyways, instead of getting jealous of looks, I'd get jealous of character and accomplishments. I would get jealous of someone who was able to take more calculated risks, worked harder and more consistently, or who had more life experience and perspectives. But, it's hard to read jealousy and any "tells" I gave off likely came off as admiration or being motivated by the other person's character traits. So at least outwardly, I came off as super sure of myself.
I had no fucking clue how to flirt or when a girl was into me, and since I had sisters, talking to girls and joking was normal for me. Looking back, I can't believe how many times I missed obvious signs of interest. But because I came of as confident af, and able to socialize, yet unphased about them and not biting to their flirting, a lot had crushes and were getting sucked in my my NGAF attitude, and believed my own outwardly percieved belief of myself. The funny thing is, I have zero clue how to go from basic convo to anything beyond that. But, it's like my own delusion bent reality to my will. I swear its fucking aids but that's what it seems like looking back retrospectively.
there doesn't seem to be anything here
