I was visiting one of my friends one night at her university and ended up going home with guy who i assumed went to the school as well (his 'home' was the frat house). After texting him over the next couple of days I found out he's actually a student at the local community college and was visiting his friends that night. I didn't really care either way since he was cool and I see how it can be awkward to bring up when you meet in a situation like that so I would just let her know and if she's cool, she shouldn't think anything of it!! :)

You got in a lying loop. Even if you had a future with this girl, that simple lie will ruin it. The reason being is that you will lie one after another to make it up for the previous lie. Even if you say one of the two options you want, you will still need to keep lying like who your teacher is, what your art work is blah blah, but at the end, she will learn the truth. So take your lesson, don't lie at stupid absurd stuff like this. Like nothing would be different if you said you don't go to school there but visiting a friend.
