A lot of people on here absolutely despise messaging on instagram/snapchat. In my opinion i think this is due to age. What is seen as the norm on social media for over around 26/27 y/os is different those 25 and under. Liking a few pics of a girl on her instagram is not creepy at all. A rule of thumb i sometimes use is like around 2-3 recent photos and if she likes some of mine back I take it as a go ahead to dm her. Or alternatively message her from a story she posts up relating the message to the story as an opener. If you’re 25 and under don’t listen to nearly what all of this sub says about social media at all. Different generations. If you’re over 25 i can’t speak for that.

Like her latest pics and shoot a message (It's kinda like 'hey, I see you girl').

If you like old pics it's kinda creepy. (Maybe unless you like one old pic when your both already flirting heaps much later down the line)

Instagram is for parasocial relationships. Do you want a parasocial relationship? Good, then talk up all the girls on Instagram. Otherwise, meet women in real life and speak to them using words.

I would like her most recent 2 pictures or something and then leave it at that. Don't message or anything.

Randomly liking her pictures is already somewhat thirsty, you don't want to come in too strong. Put your feelers out by liking a couple pics and then let her reciprocate.

More than one like starts getting weird...I've deleted a woman and several gay guys for constantly liking my pictures...it's annoying.

Trust me, if I was into the person, I'd like a picture back right and let things progress, so I figure the women on the other end are probably seeing it the same way.

A slight alteration to this is when you like a picture and then ask a legit question in the public comments, like, "Hey, is that restaurant still open?" or something totally innocuous and fact based --- something she'll respond to if she's got any interest at all.

More than that and it comes across both creepy and desperate.

I feel like that worked at the beginning of IG in 2012. The tactic is a little old now. It will get her attention , yes but I don’t think it’s a great play

Most girls posts will have at least 100s of likes. Only do it if your social media currency is stronger then there’s. Eg if you have 1000s vs her 100s of followers, and each of your post has x3 the number of her interactions.
