Is it OK to say to a woman “someone hot reminded me of you”?

I don’t think it comes off as a compliment at all. Personally I wouldn’t like it.

I’ll talk personally, since my face is very similar to a famous actor. I found very tedious when people remark me any comparison with someone else.

Anyway, what I want to say is that if I’m funny, sad, bad, good, hot or whatever, I don’t see the point on “remind” someone else. I took as a lack of conversation skill when someone say something like this. Is better to say “you are hot” and stop. Or if you want to compliment more, don’t compare it with someone else.

That makes it sound like she’s not hot. You want to say something like, “I found a girl who’s almost as hot as you”. But also DO NOT CONSISTENTLY COMPLIMENT THIS GIRL, it’s okay occasionally.

EDIT: Also be playful and say something like, “I think I might pursue this girl instead of you ;)”
