I like your book request and I am interested what other users will propose. Imho there is the danger that one ends up doing some kind of act. That would not work because people always will notice your micro expressions, who you can not really change.

Imho to become strong and dominant one must become weak first: one must face his weaknesses and be able to share uncomfortable truth. Read "Radical Honesty" by Brad Blanton to do that. Or watch his YouTube videos.

One can not dress up a weak guy as James Bond. One must become strong from within.

No More Mr. Nice guy by Robert Glover. That’s a good book to read, learn, and apply the principles from it. Man Up by Bedros Keulian is another great book too. That’ll help dominant your life and yourself if you’re willing to live up to the principles he teaches

As for style, tons of videos out there! I recommend Alpha M. He’s got some videos that can help. Art of Manliness if you want codes of honor or anything, plus Wolf and Iron.

If you also want to amp the social skills there’s a podcast called the Art of Charm. I listen to these guys a lot and they’re pretty amazing.

Always talk people up. A real 'alpha' is nice to everyone and has no need to try and rise above anyone else. You gain respect by being respectful towards others and by showing you value them.

I'm a hugger. When I see a buddy in a bar for example I always greet them with a hug or a slap on the back, ask them how they're doing, compliment their new shirt or whatever. I value the company of the people around me and I let them know that in many different ways. And I don't just do or say things, I really mean them. More people have started to gravitate towards me, including girls. There has even been some new acquintances who've had previously tried to rise above me by teasing me or talking me down have changed their act completely once they've got to know me a little better.

I'm not saying be a people pleaser. Don't just say things in hopes of a positive reaction. Be genuinely interested. You don't have to agree with everything, you just need to show that you respect their opinion and you can agree to disagree.

EDIT: This comment is probably a bit all over the place. These are just the basic things and ideas that popped into my mind and how I am myself.
