You just need to get your reps in. Its like working out, at first you can't lift much but overtime you can lift more and more, and then stuff you had trouble with at first, you can lift with ease.

Honestly people are more forgiving than you think and people tend to be harsh on themselves. You probably were awkward as fuck in the initial contact, but it doesn't mean its a definite L. Go chat her up with confidence and it can change her initial perceptions about you. If you fumble again, just realize its part of the process of improving and maybe you took an L now, but in reality you should realize progress is always a W

My guy this use to happen to me when I was around 16/17 and it was depressing. I decided to try talking to girls more in casual conversation just to get use to it. That and make myself get into more social situations. Slowly I became more and more comfortable around girls and now they’re as easy to talk to as lads. Granted trying to “seduce” girls is still a bit nerve racking but it always will be and that’s part of the thrill. Just keep working at it you’ll get there.

Cut yourself some slack, it happens to the best of us.

Even at 52 years old and having banged over 200 women I still flunk it and say something dumb and think “muh.. damn I just blew that”

The main thing is to stop taking them too seriously and learn to be at ease with them.

It’s good practice to talk to ALL women, especially those you have absolutely no interest in. Like the old one with no teeth at the checkout. Yep her. Talk to her a bit and ask about how her day has been.

If it makes you feel better I’ve fucked up worse than you. When this girl and I were at the end of my shift she came up to me and said “I love you” and my dumbass said “No” that’s it just a no. The worst part is that I like her quite a bit and it was just me being startled so now I have to try and get back to that point.

You blew your chance indeed. No point in trying to pursue her anymore. You have to find someone else.

And yes, if you haven't really talked to girls before then this kind of response is completely normal and part of the process.

Practice talking to girls you aren't attracted to first. Then gradually work your way up from there. Baby steps. You can't be Micheal Jordan when you've never even picked up a basketball before. You have to start training and do some reps in a low pressure environment first.
