Ok so, this might seem drastic to some since he is 12. But thing is that he is a lot like I was growing up and I was a very abnormal individual as a little kid and my personality had a lot of strong changes going into pre teens and late teens. The very specifics is another story that isn't important. What matters is I know what knowledge could have helped me big time when I was his age and I could part that onto him. Neither of us have brothers, just sisters. I might be his only male cousin. I have 2 younger male cousins, 1 on each side of the family. I helped the older of the two out significantly since it is just a 3 year difference.

If I just act like a normal jackoff and be all "hey, you grew since I last saw you, that's minecraft? cool, see ya" than nothing is accomplished. If he confides what I was told from my parents and aunt/uncle I am not going to just say "oh it doesn't matter". I can't just break down reality and what to do in a bomb set to explode in his head either. If the age gap between us wasn't 10 years I'd probably be more close with him to guide him.

Not sure how to approach this
