Outside of saving money, there is no reason to attend a community college, you will be miserable there. What people do not understand is that the college experience and the fun of college usually happens within the first two years when you are taking easy classes and everyone is wild. When people turn into upperclassmen, the fun practically starts to die out as everyone is itching to graduate.

A lot of social circles are also formed within the first two years and if you want to rush a fraternity, the good houses rarely give out bids to upperclassmen.

Not only that, if you are there for 4 years, you're more likely to build connections with professors and get recommendation letters from them vs being a transfer where you don't get as much time to do all that.

Take all of this into account, do not go the community college route if you can avoid it.

Community college and transfer, hands down. You get the same classes at lower cost, generally with smaller classes. The profs tend to be slightly less anal too.

Financially, it's better to do the 2 year thing, but if you can afford it, the life experiences from a real four year school are worth it IMO.

College: Pros: Better critical thinking development, networking opportunities, degree, training, faculty, social events, facilities, girls, sports, and locations.

Cons: More expensive.

Community college:

Pros: Less expensive, easier classes.

Cons: Everything else.
