tl;dr: what are some books/methods I can give my BP dad?

excuse the cluster-fuck of thoughts that follow:

I've definitely seen a mix of opinions on fathers in the RP forums; some guys think their dads are great, while others think their dads are pussies, so I'm thinking I can get a wide response.

My parents have a piss-poor relationship. I already know they won't get divorced (although I could argue they might be better off divorced), so I hoping to try some passive, micro-management/help. I know 'passive help' sounds like a terrible idea, but hey, thats why I'm asking TRP.

To sum it up, I think my dad needs to man-up. I wish I could just tell him to hit the gym, be more active, and take a bit more control of the house. The fact of the matter is, I don't have that kind of relationship with my dad.

Best case scenario: I give my dad some RP books, he sees the light, and becomes a better man.

I've considered the idea of starting working out together or against each other, but the logistics are complicated.

Anyway, I've read the +100 voted search results containing "books," but I still haven't found one that isn't a straight-up self-help style book or just some manly-ass fictional novel.

So...

Any book recommendations? Or just general suggestions?
