Hey guys,

Recently (about a month ago) I broke off my long distance LTR after about two and a half years (LTR for the last year). I was her first physically & emotionally, and as a result, she became very attached, though she was also putting out less (me acting beta and not giving her the tingles, my bad), which is why I broke it off in the first place.

Fast forward to today, I message her to say I have something of hers for her to pick up, and she says she'll be in town and we can "go to lunch too if you want, I'm not against being friends". However, she also tells me she now has a "thing" with a co-worker, in order to "be honest". According to her she wasn't looking for anything and it "just happened", but bear in mind that she was very attached to me prior and it has been less than a month. This is also the first time she's suddenly open to being friends, having always been vehemently against it before.

I don't want her back as an LTR, but I'm looking for clarification:

Am I just being used as a beta friend for her to talk to while she runs off with the new guy, or is this an opportunity to plate an ex who is still interested?
