So if you’re like me, or how I used to be, but even now it still happens every now and then, you get very nervous either before a date with a girl, or to even approach a girl.

One of the things that has helped me with minimizing nervousness is to completely disregard the outcome. When you’re nervous, all that is is you being scared of the outcome, more specifically a negative outcome. So when you detach yourself from the outcome, and become fully present in the moment, a lot of that nervousness goes away.

Now there’s many techniques for becoming fully present so I suggest you search them up and find which ones work best for you, since it’s not really a one size fits all answer. But personally I’ve found that when I :

  1. Take deep breaths, and focus my mind towards one single action (ie. walking over to the girl, or talking to the girl), basically nothing that has to do with how the girl will react or the outcome.

  2. And then also just doing it, counting down from 3 and just doing it

My nervousness really goes down. Plus I mean they say practice makes perfect, so if you continually talk to new girls or continually put yourself in situations where you’re nervous, no matter the outcome, you’ll become more confident in yourself and less afraid of what people think.
