Our divorce was finalized almost 2 years ago and since then I got married and a lot have happened. however my ex never played ball to divide our assets and honestly we would have came even regardless, I felt it's more paper work than anything. since then I have fired my lawyer because my ex keep going to court over issues regarding the kids and things became costly, and now I want to DIY my asset division. it's Math for the most part and we don't have an outrageous amount of assets less then 100k so I figure I would do it myself since I am decent in Math.
However I have few questions,
1) Her lawyer is asking for statement from the date of sedation to the present date. I do not want to give him my current statements, as I feel like it's an invasion of my privacy and contain privileged information. Is this normal? will the court allow that?
2) during the marriage, I transferred money to my mother, around 30k over two years. the money was mostly from a side hustle I was doing and wanted to give some money back to my mother to support her. the 30k was some cash and sometimes stocks. My ex is going after that money. Any luck I can save that money?
I did not say anything about it in the initial discovery and did not answer under gifts/loan
I am not sure if I should say it was a loan, a gift or repayment of debt or anything else.
3) my ex bought an extensive amount of jewelry, however I don't have receipts nor pictures, is that money lost?
