A man being forcibly raped wouldn't be enjoyable for a male audience/the author. And frankly, it wouldn't be enjoyable to a female audience either. 99.9% of women have no interest in seeing a man being violently/forcibly used as a sex object against their will.

How sheltered does someone have to be to think that people don't have fantasies about men forcibly being used as sex objects? You can tell that they have never seen any gay porn before, or even any straight porn for that matter.

As per sub/reddit guidelines I censored the usernames. I know linking threads is allowed as long as you make them non-participation but I thought screenshots would be safer. This was from a discussion on the Horror Lit sub, which I have since left after reporting these comments and contacting the mods directly about it yielded no response or results.

The main comments in question:

Ah ok so content creators aren't trying to appeal to the broadest audience possible? Because if only a small minority of men enjoyed seeing/reading that crap then it wouldn't be nearly as prevalent in media. Because they're certainly not putting it in there for the female audience. But keep gaslighting. I bet the majority of men don't like porn either, right?

The last comment in the 2nd pic says it all. It's women who reads this shit more. Just like true crime podcasts, 50 shades of gray etc... It's utter crap.

Uhmmmm... this happens literally all the time. Especially in comedy movies. Its seen as a joke. Male victims just arent taken seriously at all.

I will not watch a movie with a violent rape in it.

I had to leave the theater because The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo has a graphic scene of sexual sadism. The scene was so long I didnt stop to ask for a refund as I could still hear it in the hallway as I exited the cinema.

Before that, I rememeber returning a rented copy of The General’s daughter and demanding a refund.

I now use the internet to avoid such ugliness.

All of my male friends agree with avoiding these movies, if perhaps not as vehemently as I do.

Women who hate men know shockingly little about us.

Did they miss the fact that its a HORROR movie? The point of horror is to take oneself outside their comfort zone. I don't necessarily want to see a girl violate herself with a crucifix in isolation, but it can be compelling horror precisely because we DON'T like that.

If men liked seeing that, The Exorcist wouldn't be a horror film, it'd just be a porno.

Yes, obviously that wouldn't be enjoyable to watch, and neither would it be if it was a women being raped. I'd need more context here but I'm assuming it's some kind of movie/TV show. There's the whole dropped the soap in the shower trope, trivialising male rape (yes it's also male rapists but still).

Also, sometimes the rape is a plot device in the media, take The Shawshank Redemption, I great movie, with male rape in it, and it's a core part of the narrative.
