This girl in my group became really close to me and started inviting me to all her events. She had long conversations with me about how she desperately needed a boring to make her feel secure.at that point of time, I was a neRd who who had average social skills. Don't get me wrong, I used to hang out with 10/10 chads and go to more parties than them but had a a really bad fashion sense and a pathetic sense of humour. As the semester progressed, I became more and more attracted to this girl whom I thought to be a sure thing. At laSt, I couldn't wait any longer and ultimately asked her out for a coffee. She rejected the proposal in a really really polite way and said it was more fun in a group. I was shattered and kept talking to my friends about her and they gave me some valuable insights. Since then, I have upgraded my wardrobe and have started wearing better fitting and lighter colored clothes. I have been lifting for the past 20 days and also play squash on a regular basis. I will be meeting her after a month now, when the semester starts and hope I can turn things around with her. I tried to bond emotionally with her but I know that doesn't work. After she rejected me, she invited me to a couple of group dinners since then so it is not awkward between us. It must also be noted that she is a virgin and has been in only one relationship at high school with a black guy so I don't think she is averse to dating ethnic/ black men. Is there any way of turning this around ?
