Hi everyone,
I am a in my early 20s in the Greater Toronto Area, and been on Hinge for about 8 months. I had a very similar scenario happened twice in the past few weeks, and would like to ask for feedback.
1: Matched with a girl, and the conversation was flowing well. After some back and forth texts, I asked her out, she said yes and that she wanted to get to know me, and asked for my instagram. We continued to chat over ig, she said she was busy this weekend with work, but would take a look at her schedule and let me know. After talking a bit about what we each do for work, I ended the conversation with a "Enjoy your weekend. Please let me know which day would work best". She did not say anything, so after a week and a half, I texted her, but she did not reply.
2: Replied to a girl's prompt regarding travel, we matched, and I kept joking about where I would take her for a summer trip(trip to Europe). Then I suggested we get together for a drink to discuss the trip, she said she was down, I suggested a day and place the following week, she said it sounded ënticing"and that she would let me know. A week passed, and I had not heard from her, so I texted her. She said she was sorry, and that she had been busy. We exchanged few messages, she asked me where I was from, I answered, and then I asked her if she was free this weekend. Then she ghosted.
I know the general consensus is that if a girl gives any sort of excuse or trouble to not meet up, it means that she was never interested in actually going on a date. I find it disappointing, though, because in both cases, they first seemed eager to.
Any advice is appreciated.
