Now, I'm not talking about "The One"-love or any kind of bullshit like that. I'm talking about the love you have for your family and close ones. The most important thing that you pass on to your children so that they grow up to be stable, productive and healthy members of society.

The reason I'm asking this is because of the TRP approach to gender dynamics seems to me to be filled with unnecessary confrontation. It just reeks of bitterness and hurt feelings. Because an ideal man is a man of abundance. Abundance of material wealth, security, fun etc. and love. A man of abundance isn't scared to love or to be loved. The overall impression I get here is that loving women is scary to you because you're afraid that she might use your love against you to step on your balls. I'm totally on-board with idea of being in control of the relationship and not giving your love unconditionally but some of the talk here gives me the impression that love is something to be avoided entirely. The way masculinity is viewed here seems to be this Reagan-era idea of what "real man" is. (which is a totally modern invention)
