Fat Acceptance: People who want to have their cake... then have another cake.

They already do that

Add to this definition that they also want everyone to accept it as normal and healthy

This woman wants people to be able to do whatever they want and not have other people judge/be disgusted by them. We all have that choice... it's called living in a cabin in the woods. Society is composed of people, people who judge, people who condemn. It's called reality. I made peace with that reality a long time ago. I have some sympathy for her feelings, but her reaction, trying to control other peoples behavior by shaming them back, is just more of the same BS, it will get her nowhere.

I get tired of people whining about their problems and I don't limit that to one sex or the other. And the truth is, I'm wrong: It won't get her personally anywhere, but people ganging together and shaming/guilting/condemning others for behavior they don't like can be a powerful force. I won't have any part of it though. To me life is about making yourself better, stronger, faster, knowing more, doing amazing things. I have no interest in controlling the behavior of others.

I saw a post regarding this on FB about a girl who was bullied over her weight by her own family and thinner sisters and it talked about how she should accept her body (pretty sure this girl didn't have a glandular issue, so its not something she was born with) and learn to love it I couldn't resist the temptation to not say anything. I commented her on how she should take responsibility for her life, to drop the victim mentality and the flaws of "just be yourself" type of advice, that by doing this and improving herself you can become the kind of person who will not put up with anyone's bullshit! she'll feel great about herself after accomplishing overcoming herself! I was obese about a decade ago and I decided to lose weight, so I know what it is like to be there and why it's crucial to pick yourself up but they wouldn't hear none of it and was presented with pseudoscience about how you can be obese and still be healthy. I'm only to blame here for wasting of my time and now I know better.

I don't like fat feminism because it uses the exact same tools to justify itself that I used when I was a weak man: the victim mentality that puts you in a position where you don't take control your own life and blame everyone, the whole 'this is how I am and I expect you to like me' that same type of entitlement that men feel when they are nice to a girl expecting she will find him attractive that feminists find disgusting when men can't explain what it is that they are doing wrong and just attribute it to being friend zoned, fat women in turn will lash out for me not finding them attractive, a really obese friend who loved Blurred Lines took offense that I found really attractive the hot model in the video "oh you must not like women with curves, bet you only go after women that starve themselves, you're shallow".

Though I stayed a weak man/BP for so long because everything around me, even the women, specially the women themselves, told me this how men should be. I would lash out against the world for not liking me or accepting me, for ignoring me and treating me like I was invisible. Now I don't and I'm happier than I ever been. As far as I know, there isn't anything out there to encourage people to be overweight just like there is to encourage men to be BP.
