I (33m) have the divorce hearing in a couple days. The battle this far has been pretty hectic. I left her about 6 months ago, and I’m finally ready to be rid of her. My soon-to-be ex-wife has been fighting tooth and nail, denying everything she ever did wrong, and trying to play the victim. She was the violent one, thus why I left. With the final hearing inching closer, what advice could you give me? I’m already shaking at the idea of being in the same room as her. I already have the support of family and friends, as well as therapists, advocates, and several officers ready to testify on my behalf. We also opened multiple companies together, but she is claiming sole ownership. Between that and the marital assets, the settlement is possibly massive. But that is far from my main concern. I want the court to hear my case and not fall for her tricks. She’s manipulated courts in the past, between another prior divorce and multiple lawsuits, and somehow always comes out ahead. I’ll be happy with my freedom from this monster, but any advice I could get would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
