It's bad enough when people will deny misandry being real when it absolutely is, but it's arguably worse when people will acknowledge it exists but then say it isn't nearly as big a problem or misogyny or not a societal issue. I hate this so much. Misandry absolutely is just as bad as misogyny is and just as serious an issue, and it continues to either be ignored or treated as a joke. Misandry is a major reason for society and government still not acknowledging and helping male victims of violence, abuse, rape, etc. and the lack of shelters that help male victims. How biased the courts and education systems are against men and boys. How potentially falsely accused males are denied due process. How men for so long have had to register for the draft or face legal action for not doing so. Also the extremely high male suicide and homeless rate. Among other examples. How are these not serious problems?

And of course the constant and intentional downplaying and trivializing of the fact just as many men and boys are also victims of violence by female offenders as the other way around. Female violent against men and boys is just as heinous and serious as male violence against women and girls, but it practically never gets any attention or action taken against it. One of the most glarious and obvious examples of misandry being both real and a serious problem.

It's an undeniable fact misandry is real and serious, just as much as misogyny is. Neither has any place in a just society. Whenever someone tries to downplay or mitigate misandry or outright deny it existing, they cease to be someone with integrity or credability. I've said before as a mostly left-leaning and liberal person how it's embarrassing when people associate being leftist or liberal in anyway with misandry. To me there's no question that men and boys also need to be included in the gender equality conversation and to do so and also acknowledge being both real and a major societal problem is actual progress.
