I am considering my options in employment as I am in my last year in high school. At this point I have decided against a university, the debt just isn't worth it for me.

So far I have considered a job at the Apple Store, AT&T, or maybe even a car dealership, as a salesman, but many friends have advised me against it. Ultimately I will work for myself but I have some purchases I need to make that have some level of urgency, like my own car, so I can stop driving one of my dads around and quit putting miles an wear on it.

What entry level jobs would anybody recommend for someone who just finished high school? And please no "Do whatever you like to do" comments, I like to make money, so I'm open to almost whatever that reasonably entails.
