So currently Match, the owner of all the big mainstream dating apps such as Tinder, Hinge, Bumble etc are facing lawsuits from the FTC.. bit of a background on the situation below.

Quote "The Federal Trade Commission has sued online dating service Match Group, Inc. (Match), the owner of Match.com, Tinder, OKCupid, PlentyOfFish, and other dating sites, alleging that the company used fake love interest advertisements to trick hundreds of thousands of consumers into purchasing paid subscriptions on Match.com. The agency also alleges that Match has unfairly exposed consumers to the risk of fraud and engaged in other allegedly deceptive and unfair practices. For instance, the FTC alleges Match offered false promises of “guarantees,” failed to provide services to consumers who unsuccessfully disputed charges, and made it difficult for users to cancel their subscriptions."

If the case works out, what do you predict will happen to the online apps? Will we get a new system replacing it that's possibly free for users? The Dismantling of Algorithim based pay to win models that are the equivalent of using slot machines at a casino? Or something more like what Japan have? What do you reckon? The court date from what i've looked up on here starts next year on June 5th. It will be interesting to see what the outcome is.
