"...But not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling that believes nothing is worth fighting for is far worse. A man who has nothing that he is willing to fight for is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free." John Stuart Mill

Unfortunately, the social conditions of the past few decades have placed most men in exactly this position. We are seen as beasts of burden, support units to baby-making machines, a resource to be exploited for the protection of assets, and to make those who obsess about such matters feel safe. https://mitpress.mit.edu/9780262582643/bare-branches/

What do we get out of it..? More disrespect, further disadvantage in the job market, where having a job is our main trading asset in the sexual marketplace. https://assets.csom.umn.edu/assets/71503.pdf

More sneaky moves to sequester assets and transfer them to females. https://www.2xglobal.org/new-to-gender-lens-investing/why-invest-with-a-gender-lens

Back in WW2, Bob Hope was fond of touring the Pacific theatres of war with attractive actresses in tow. Rita Hayworth was a favourite. He'd exhort the troops: "Never forget, boys... THIS is what you're fighting for!" Would be interesting to see him try to pull off the same trick with a scowling, blue-haired woman, pierced and tattooed, a degree in 'Gender Studies' and a mountain of college debt.

Sorry, Bob - you're not selling this to me. Why should we put ourselves on the line to protect the interests of people who do not respect ours..? Fight your own battles.
