I've been racking my brain for what to do about this instagram DM interaction for the last 2 days and am honestly going nuts, so as much as I wanted to just figure this out by myself, here I am posting about it because I want to learn what you beautiful people think of this conundrum. It's a weird one, and I feel so lame asking for advice about a text convo, but I honestly don't know what to do - and of course I think she is super hot.

Context: A looong time (talking years here) ago I got this girl's info approaching, and we've been in different parts of the world. Throughout years we've been flirty over snapchat, and occasionally had convos in the instagram DMs, but it never amounted to anything. I had a girlfriend, then she had a boyfriend, but recently she liked my photo on insta.

Taking that as a sign of interest, I replied to her story of her and her dog and said

"cuddling in bed with a dog is my love language"

she said: "you are husband material"

I said : "You are something else ;), Still in ___?" (she liked this message)

She said: "yes! are you still in (city where I live)"

I said: "Yes, ever been?"

She said: "Noo not yet!"

I said: "Come visit" (we live in different countries, about an hour flight away) "In the US visiting family till next week but when I'm back lets have a call and catchup"

Then she didn't reply for a day, and left me on seen. Bummer.

Then... I posted an instagram story of me drinking coffee, and she LIKED the story after leaving me on seen.

I'm honestly super confused. Her liking the story makes me think she still likes me and there's an opening in there somewhere for me to get the conversation flowing again, and her replies lead me to believe that there's a shot.

The way I see it, I kind of feel like we have to eventually get to a phone or video chat convo to get it going and I realize it's a snowflake's chance in hell that this works, but at this point I just want to see where it goes and get another rep in to work on my text/DM game.

Currently I'm left on read, with a weird show of interest by her liking my story after leaving me on seen.

Do I - (1) continue posting stories and not message her

(2) message her again to restart the conversation and not acknowledge that I asked her to have a call

(3) message her backing off "joking...kinda" and then change the subject with a light question?

I'm lost boys, what do I do here.
