As the title says, I have a sticking point after approaching and getting her insta, but it’s not your typical one.

The scenario I keep running into is this-

I approach, usually with something direct but maybe contextual, or maybe both.. we have a 3-10 minute convo

Something like “I had to come say hi if be kicking myself all day if I didn’t say hello” or something like that and make good eye contact

We exchange instagrams, she follows me back, later that day or the next day I send a DM (usually good meeting you and then a reference to our convo and try and make it funny or entertaining if I can) She likes my DM. She responds positively to my DM! - something like “was good meeting you too!” And a response to my reference back to our convo.

STICKING POINT: I then ask - “when are you free for drinks this week” or something equivalent.

…. Complete silence on her end….

But she looks at every one of my stories..

What am I doing wrong!!!! I feel like it could be: - not enough of a vibe in the initial convo (but then why follow me back and respond positively) - I asked for the date too soon and didn’t set it up (maybe ask something like do you like wine? On the hunt for the best coffee in (city)) then go for the date - wait to reply to her story (if she posts one), then go for a date from there

Before you say “why didn’t you just get the number?!?!” - I like going for insta because she can see who I am more, see I’m a cool dude with friends, and look at my stories and see what I’m about. Feel like it builds comfort.

So casanovas.. anyone experienced something similar?

I feel like if I could fix this, simple thing, I’m in a good spot - she already is responding positively.

This has happened several times not just once
