"When you raise your hand to a woman, you're no longer a man."

I hate this logic and I'd imagine many other here feel the same. Violence committed against anyone is wrong regardless of gender and men being harmed by women is just as wrong as the other way around. Men and women both can be and are victims and perpetrators of violence, but this misandrist narrative that you're not a real man if you hit a woman even if it's in self-defense needs to go. Any man or woman who attacks an innocent person who didn't deserve it is a terrible people, and any innocent person whether it's a man or woman has every right to defend themselves against any attacker no matter the gender. Unfortunately this is a major reason so many male victims of female attackers don't come forward, knowing society and the law is ready to condemn them even if they acted only out of self-defense and not trying to inflict genuine malicious harm. It's disgusting. Any real man or woman has the right to defend themselves no matter what, and a man being attacked by a woman has just as much right as a woman being attacked by a man. It's common sense, but it's evident common sense is lacking in misandrists and misogynists alike.
