Girl at work and I would talk for whole hour pretty much interrupted, she kept giving me signs of interest.

She gave me her number first without me asking, would ask me questions that seemed very intimate, questions you would ask to someone you were interested in basically, she’s a little younger than me, I’m 26 she’s 21 and she looks pretty young so I didn’t really think of her like that at first but she kind of won me over with her personality, she’s cute don’t get me wrong but not like crazy attractive.

And it just happened one day after a month of her mentioning random places she wanted to go she told me “hey I’m free on Friday, if you wanna take me out I’m free” and then proceeded to follow it up with “I’m not looking for anything serious, I’m not interested in a relationship I just want have fun” a few minutes afterwards

So I’m over the moon and I get it all set up right? We text back and forth, I admittedly text her like bitch, I assume I got in the bag and double text after a few hours of her not texting back, I just sounded clingy and sad basically.

I get text back the next morning telling me how much of a good friend I am and I clarify that we could be friends but I’m looking for more that later on, I completely fucking blew it, she was interested in just having fun and I just pushed a relationship on her when that wasn’t my intention.

She tells me again that she’s not interested in anything serious, she’s looking for friends and my dumb ass never clarified that I was fine with that too I just said sorry a lot and told her I would only see her as a friend from now on, I kept pushing and eventually she became annoyed and told me to just drop it and forget about it “just let it go”.

A generational fumble, absolutely insane I know I don’t know how I could’ve possibly fucked up this bad, I don’t know what to do she gives me mixed signals sometimes I feel like she makes excuses to get close to me, sometimes she’s confrontational and a little rude which she never was before and now I just sort of ignore her and no longer initiate conversation, I don’t know what to do.

Should I explain that I’m not looking for anything serious either? She told me to drop the issue, I know she still finds me attractive and charming but I can’t seem to unfuck what has been fucked, I have other woman that work with me that are interested too maybe I just need to explore other options? Go back on apps? I don’t know.
