At the gym today, went to the front desk to ask a question. The woman was being low key kind of rude at first. I said excuse me and she took a bit to say anything and without looking up she says how can I help you? She seemed very indifferent. Then when I was asking questions it almost seemed like she thought I was just a dumb member. I didn’t really react but just kept going with what I was trying to do. Then this other woman came to the front desk, I look at her then the first one I was talking to is all of a sudden all smiles. They didn’t look at each other and neither is the boss so it’s not like she felt like she had to be friendlier now that the other one was there. I didn’t change how I was acting, just only Focused on what I needed and not making conversation cause I couldn’t tell what her vibe was. She’s still maybe a little rude tho after but maybe she was trying to be playful? I get what I need and I just say thanks appreciate it before walking away. But when I started walking away she had a big smile then her face changed like I did something weird or she was expecting the conversation to go on more. Very weird situation lol never had someone switch so drastically in a convo where we weren’t talking. It almost felt like a shit test. I wouldn’t try anything unless she showed more interest but I’m curious what yall would make out of this situation.
