She had sent me an invitation for her art show and I decided on going to see TRP principles at work in the girl who got me to TRP. I enter and meet her; no hugs or even handshake from me, we speak about very general stuff. She can't talk properly, I guess from the shock that I am there, so it takes her a while to form her words.

I thought I would try a bit of game by asking her to try and sell one of the paintings to me by giving a sales pitch. Instead I kept telling her that its not good enough and I am not impressed, she finally gave up and said that I am not actually going to buy a painting so she doesn't want to do play the game anymore. Does this mean that she was able to get out the game by not seeking validation from me?

She then takes a sculpture which she has had at home for a few years and writes my sister and bro-in-laws name on the back and says that its a gift for them. Because she really likes my sister; but she has only met her twice...? She also came to my sisters wedding while we were together. I hesitated initially to take the gift but then finally gave in and took it. Was this a shit test? Or was she trying to remind me of something?

Finally. The show is over and she is going to sit and have food which a Beta got for her and he is still lurking around while I am there. She asks me what my plans are and if I have to be somewhere? I reply by asking 'why are you asking this?'. She diverted. Then she just asks me if I want to sit and eat with them, but I answer that I am not hungry, but they can eat and I'm good with chilling while they do so. After I say this she turns around in 2 mins and says that the gallery is shutting and that she will go home and eat her food. Then she starts walking me out...? I even repeated that she had just said about eating and I had said that I will give them company, she just simply replied that she will go home and eat the food now that the gallery is closed. So I walk out and she gets a bit emotional and says that she is really glad that I came considering I don't become friends with my exs, and I replied saying its cool and I repeat that I don't become friends. She asks if she can hug me and I grant her permission; she hugs for good 2 minutes but I don't hug her back. I say bye and go my way. Why did she change her decision when I agreed to sit with them for dinner? Was it because of the Beta, that she didn't want any awkward tension to be visible to a third party? Was it a compliance shit test? (She is not getting with Beta)
