The right to a fair trial just died in Canada. Now people accused of rape in Canada may not be allowed to present evidence that proves their innocence, because it could embarass the alleged victim. This isn't justice. Its the yoke of an oppressive, sexist regime, hell bent on putting innocent people in prison for heinous crimes they did not commit.

It seems to me due process is so central to the values of most western countries. It’s sad to see it discarded so easily.

This is of course is also the point of MeToo: To make men suffer negative consequences without any due process or proof they actually did anything wrong.

It's much more like the "corporate patriarchy/matriarchy" has eroded democracy to the point that personal favors with the oligarchs determine your sentence now. If you're a poor female you can still be sentenced to being raped in prison, if you're a poor male you can meet the same fate and forced to under go surgery against your will and do slave labor.

This isn't a gendered issue, it's just because the justice system has become corrupted.
