Cut out video games and hang with guy friends. I spent all my time playing WoW. BIG MISTAKE
Instead of picking a major based on $$$ I should of went into their music program (my passion).
Disregard/Be aloof to women.
Create social networks
Eat healthier
Effectively use my time better

Yeah. At least I'm 25 now and still am young, even though I keep thinking I'm old. But I forgive myself for making my naive mistakes. I can only now recognize what it takes to become a better man, for myself and no one but myself.

I was super skinny in high school, but extremely fit - was playing ice hockey and studying Aikido. A lot of my coaches and teachers suggested I go to the gym to bulk up, but I had no interest. I felt I could make up for lack of raw strength and bulk with skill, and to a certain extent, I did.

I'm now 50, and its a bit too late to start lifting.

I guess if I looked back, working on having a great body would have been a good thing.

Then again, as a kid, I never thought of myself as attractive or being able to be attractive. In hindsight, many women found me attractive, and more would have been if I had been less skinny and more muscly. I wish someone had taken me aside and said "you will sleep with twice as many women if you lift weights and put some weight on".

The flip side of that is the most of the women I have been with - were with me because they genuinely liked me, not because of superficial bullshit. Then again, that was on the other side of the world and a generation or two ago. We weren't surrounded by images of male beefcake like we are now.

In that time the Australian women I hung with were from the arty grungy side of life. The game was completely different.

Gain power. Make the right connections and intimidate by flaunting them.
When working on something, keep your head down and shut everything else out, even after you're done with the activity. You will feel miserable and you will hate yourself for not making progress but once you look back, you'll realize how far you've come.
Don't spend your life judging yourself by the way women judge you. Your worth is determined by the people who matter and if you desire status and power, then your worth is determined by how powerful people view and treat you. A woman has no idea what she wants so her standards are as clear as mud.

Spend your life meeting and beating the expectations of powerful people so that one day you can stand on top of them and make them look up to you.

Be confident in your choices, even if you're unsure. Not going to college right away was good for me, but I wavered on a lot of life choices and took the easy way and not necessarily the best. Be confident.

It's not about your major, it's all about your skillsets. Build your skillsets.
Play a sport & join a fraternity (I did both, but I'm reiterating this point because it's so important).
Money = Freedom. Improve your financial IQ.

But before that, I would say this very important point:

Go get a job. Go join the real world and work. See what it's like to work for a good biz v. a bad biz, a good boss v. a bad boss, a good team v. a bad team.

Gain some scars, victories, and wisdom. Learn about yourself, what you will and won't tolerate.

Then, after 4 years of that...go to college. You'll know what you want to do, you won't dick around and waste your time, all while getting shit done, partying, and getting laid.

Throw away your tv and all of your video games. Don't ever pick another one up for as long as you live.

Lift weights and learn how to do it properly. Make sure to stretch well so you don't fuck yourself up and take your injuries seriously because they will fuck you up later on.

All the things that are good for you in life are difficult. The things that are shittiest for you give off immediate bliss and no long term happiness. Take the road of the longer lasting happiness.

Find a way to focus on your studies so that they don't bore you enough to find something else to do. Get friends to study with and keep yourself on track. The better you do in school the better you will do in life.

Treat every woman as if she has already had 500 guys before you and you are just a number to her. Never get a case of oneitis and try to find "the one" because she doesn't exist.

The day after Highschool I should have gotten a full-time job as an apprentice for some kind of trade. Act as if I don't make any money and save as much as I could until I get kicked out of the house. Then invest that money into worthwhile companies After the 2007 market crash and watch my savings turned investments skyrocket. I graduated highschool 10 years ago, and many people that are my age, give or take a few years, still have the mentality of children due to the lack of opportunity in the job market. If I had taken this advice at 18 and made wise investments, I'd be retiring on my 30th birthday rather than finally stepping foot into a job that requires a skill and the savings that I'm doing. If I play my cards right I can retire at 45...

Believe it of not but you're capable of so much more than you think you are. To succeed all you need to do is to decide what your goal is and do anything in your power to achieve it, you're the only one who decides if you fail. Aim for your goals no matter how unattainable they may seem, having a passion, and building your life around that passion for something is prerequisite to happiness. It is manipulation and self abuse to try to do things/say things, for/to others in order to get them to like you, people will like you much more if you simply are who you are in an unapologetic fashion. Do what is right for you and people will come flocking to you. Don't worry about what others think of you, do what is right for you, every time.

There is no such thing as chivalry, every human uses others for gratification, sexual or otherwise, despite everything you've been taught. Sexuality, sex and attraction is Darwinian, there is no morality to it, stop thinking you are the protector of women's sexuality. Women need no protection they use their sexuality as a weapon, to manipulate and achieve power, money and admiration in just the same way as men use violence, and hard work to achieve the same things. Go out have fun, lust after, engage and pursue the women you want not the ones who are seemingly attainable. Disregard all advice that women give you about attracting or relationships.

Make friends with men you admire and that can help you upon your path to greater happiness. Disregard those regardless of sex that try to limit your achievements by not being positive about them or by judging you.

The next few months are going to suck. You and your family are moving 1/2 across the country to go to a school in the middle of nowhere. You won't know anyone, no car, and no family. It will suck. But you will become much more independent. Things will get sorted out, take more risks, you never know what will happen. Hit the pool more often than you feel you should. Use the time to get your perspective on life squared away.
