Apologising for being male because that automatically makes you an “oppressor” is so ridiculously stupid. If anything, society should be apologising to us for treating us like less than human

I never oppressed anyone, so don’t have anything to apologize for. The irony of course is that feminists have decided of their own free choice yo support a movement that has continually fought for sex based discrimination.

Yikes at the linked article (Teaching about being an oppressor) where the author assumes all of these male privileges are true. It's intellectual dishonesty to assert something is true for everyone because the author couldn't develop the idea or research further than their own anecdotes.

The article was paywalled for me, but the paragraphs I saw mirrored the kind of things an old friend was saying about how I was "taken by the patriarchy" and "needed to apologize". Of course, he could not explain what it meant that I was already a patriarch, nor could he point to any privileges I was benefitting from, but he was very sure that I was guilty and needed to apologize.

I feel bed for him with that kind of self hate, that kind of learned helplessness. People are many things, some bad, but that doesn't make it automatically any one individual's fault.
