No, you did not miss the chance of your life. It’s more like you missed a chance to evaluate whether there is a connection with that girl.

Just because she is interested superficially and you are interested superficially doesn’t mean a connection or a spark would have happened.

Even if you talked, it doesn’t necessarily mean that you would have clicked with each other.

Why does it matter? It’s in the past now. Can’t change it, doesn’t affect anything. Don’t dwell on it.

Just make sure next time you talk to them. You’ll get your answer that way. Even if you get rejected, it’s much better to make a move and get closure rather than think about it, wondering for the rest of your life if you missed an opportunity.

Sounds like she was into you yes and you missed the opportunity. It’s gone now so forget it and move on but try to learn and take it next time
