Hi, I just wanted to share my experience and ask for advice.

I'm a 21-year-old guy from Italy, I’d say average-looking, and two nights ago, I got approached by two girls. I'm currently abroad, and this has never happened to me in Italy.

The first girl wasn’t my type, so I ended the conversation pretty quickly. After a while, another girl approached me, and we talked for a bit. She was with a girlfriend, while I was in a mixed group. At some point, my group decided to change bars, so I told her, and she said they were planning to go to the same place.

We met again at the new bar, and that’s where things kind of fell apart. She went to order drinks with her friend while I stayed with my group, and then she started talking to a bunch of guys—probably friends of hers. While chatting with them, she kept glancing in our direction.

After a while, the guys left, and she and her friend went to order drinks. My "wingman" and I decided to join them. As soon as we got there, my friend pulled her friend aside to give me a chance to talk to her one-on-one. However, as soon as he did that, the girl I was interested in "freaked out" a little and asked me why my friend had done that and why he was acting so weird. I panicked and told her that he had done it so I could talk to her alone, to which she replied, "You could have done it yourself."

I should point out that I'm pretty shy in these situations, so I wouldn’t have approached them alone. After that, she and her friend whispered to each other for a bit and then left to join their friends, saying they would be back. We waited around 10–15 minutes, but since it was late, we decided to leave.

Before leaving, I went up to her (alone) and told her we were heading out. She replied that it was still early, and I said we’d probably see each other again. She responded with, "If you want to."

I should also mention that when we were talking at the first bar, I got her Snapchat (she wanted to give me her number, but I told her that Snapchat or Instagram was better... I know, I was dumb).

Now I need advice. I've snapped her a couple of times, asking about her day, but she just opens them and replies after hours. I was thinking of asking her to meet up or hang out, but at this point, I’m not sure anymore. I know I handled things badly last night.
