Saying what you want and not caring is Assertive Alpha.

Aggressive Asshole is caring what other say and coming off to quickly and expecting something from girls.

Difference is, assertive alpha generally is less emotionally reactive, if you can assert your boundaries/deal with shit being relatively unemotional, makes the difference between assertive/leadership qualities than aggressive.

Alpha knows that aggressiveness is not required unless his own safety of the safety of those he cares about is in jeopardy, and at that point it's not about aggressiveness but plain violence.
