Take everything with a grain of salt. You think he's a douche because of his behavior, but I am inclined to believe this guy has had to put up with much more shit than you can see here. Most guys I have ever met, even the ones that are arrogant and downright rude, are usually very sweet and kind to their partners until they see their true colors. It's then that the guy usually becomes very cynical and bitter, and you tend to see the behavior that women describe.

The takeaway here is that in spite of all the "crap" she apparently has to put up with, she STILL wants to stick by his side. This guy has value and she knows it. If the guy was a pushover and caved in, she wouldn't be complaining about him online.

Well, look, analyzing his character is completely worthless. Women are unreliable narrators to the extreme - in fact, look at her posts. Complete flip flopping, fact changing, etc.

So just keep the alpha or not out of it, its not actually important. Here's what we do know:

1) Higher SMV than her. Girl rants and rants about how you're a douche and abusive but says you have great qualities, well, that's higher SMV talking. She enjoys the roller coaster drama ride, or at least, it's worth it for her because in the end she wants his D, not some lower SMV (sweet beta who would never say offensive shit to her) D. They could both be low SMV - the point is he is higher.

2). This guy lacks social tact and got himself embarassed, lost his composure and yelled at her for making him lose face is public. That is not ideal for a guy - if you are getting schooled in public by your GF, you either don't quite have the frame to get her loyalty or you lack social tact, which makes you come across as lower SMV. There is nothing high value about embarassing yourself in public by bashing on gay people or mentally handicapped people. Would Obama be "alpha" if he just said what was on his mind, like "Yo, look you dumb fucks I am trying to do a decent job, but these faggots in congress make it so hard, but you retards need to actually earn your own wealth. Mitt Romney is kind of right - you 47% do need to get the fuck off the couch paid for by other people and work."

There is nothing alpha about lacking social competency; KIDS and betas just blab off about whatever comes into their head. We see these TV guys like David Duchovny (Hank Moody) who just word vomit stupid shit half the time with no consideration for its efficacy, and it works because they are so confident and charismatic (and the lines are actually written with thought and scripted obviously). In reality though, every single alpha I've ever met - like someone who you can feel when they walk in the room, they have a presence, higher SMV than they should have even for a high status position, etc... they speak with precise words. Frank Underwood style; if they wanted, they could turn to the camera and explain what the goal of what they said is. They are aware of social rules and contexts and they will break them, but for a goal.

As Julius Caesar says, break the rules to gain power. In all other cases, follow the rules. If you break the societal rules just to show people you are edgy, you are indeed like every other beta. If you offend someone by making fun of retards and they have a retarded sister, there is nothing alpha about being like "yeah well stop being a faggot about it" or whatever. Just like when you see this lone MRA guy on your campus trying to raise a protest at a feminist meeting and win over the crowd with his lofty rhetoric, you don't think "GODDAMN that dude is an alpha, look at the way he ignores social pressure because he believes in what he stands for, what a man, I better keep my GF away from this dude!"

You think "wow what a tool. That's cool that he gives no fucks what anyone else thinks, but maybe he should for a little while just to recalibrate his strategy to something that actually works."
