I attend church weekly on a Sunday. I was in attendance for both mothers and fathers day. The reaction and response was so entirely different.

For mothers day, the children knew what it was, and they'd spoiled their mum's (or the husband's did). Women would expect to be made a fuss of, and complain if not enough effort was made, or feel envious is they saw on social media women getting better treatment.

For father's day, the children had no responce because they didn't do or prepare anything, the wives/mother's didn't get or do anything. It felt so saddening, seeing the marked difference and responce. Basically that father's aren't worthy of celebrating and gratitude

Also noticed this at my son's school, they'd make mother's days cards and give the children flowers to take home. Nothing for father's day.
