^Study that says that women are more likely to be violent as a form of self defense and out of fear. And that men are more likely to stalk, coerce, and were more likely to be perpetrators of intimate partner violence(IPV), and women are more often victims. The study also found that men are more likely than women to say they do those things for "control". What do we think of this study, chat? And how reliable is it? Some of the wording in it is weird, and I feel like the authors often argue in circles and draw conclusions where none can be made. But I need a little more help from someone smarter on the validity of these claims.

^Also, in relation to the two links above, is it true that lesbian domestic rates are as high as they are because of relationships with men? People claim that these are "lifetime statistics", not just for when they are in relationships. So lesbian women who claim to have been abused by a partner "ever", could be reporting on abuse by a man, since some lesbians had dated or do currently date men. Someone on this sub said that IPV in Lesbians also corresponds to Heterosexual IPV rates. It is not "higher", but similar. So you are no more likely to be abused in a lesbian relationship(by a woman) than you are to be abused in a straight one(by a man). What do we think of this?
