I live in india , I wanted to share an incident of false accusation that happened to my uncle. Two years ago, my uncle,a high school teacher took his own life after being falsely accused of rape and sexual assault by multiple female students and female staff at the school he worked in.

The place he worked was steeped in caste politics and bias.The female staffs and students were casteists who were disgusted of my uncle for being born into a lower caste and they decided to throw false accusations at him. Once the accusations came in, no investigation was done . He was fired without trial, publicly shamed as a predator, and spent the next two months working as a painter to feed his family. He couldn't even do it as a job because wherever he went ,he was seen as a rapist and predator and lost most of his orders . His wife divorced him and took custody of his children and took his house and his life time saving as alimony,he became homeless and lived in the streets,we offered him shelter but the society blamed us as "accomplices". he lost everything,his reputation, his dignity, and eventually, his will to live.

When the court hearing finally came, he presented 33 pieces of solid evidence proving his innocenceā€”dashcam footage, CCTV recordings, voice logs, and multiple eyewitness testimonies. It didnā€™t matter. Despite all that, he was still labeled a pedophile. The judgment wasnā€™t about truth. despite the lack of evidence for his accusations of sexual assaults, he was still found guilty. he was a man accused by a group of womenā€”so he was guilty in their eyes before he ever got a chance to defend himself.

That verdict crushed him. He couldnā€™t take it anymore, and he ended his life shortly after.

What breaks me is how easily women can throw out accusations at men they don't like and can destroy his life, and the system often assumes guilt when it comes to men.

After his suicide, we didn't give up on proving his innocence and we eventually succeeded ,but those girls and women were never punished . There were no news about this in media, no actions taken against them . They still roam freely after destroying a life. I felt like this needed to be shared.
